Esther Sullivan, 84, of Stockton, and formerly of Galt, died Jan. 18 in a local convalescent hospital of natural causes. She was born Esther Schrecongost on Aug. 13, 1918, in Kimball, Neb., where she was also raised.

Mrs. Sullivan moved to Grand Junction, Colo., where she met and married Charles E. Osgood. They moved to Stockton in 1937. Later the family lived in Sacramento, San Bernardino, Galt, Acampo, San Pablo and Auburn before returning to Stockton. She was a resident of San Joaquin County for over 50 years.

She was the retired owner of Galt Worldwide Travel. She enjoyed bird watching, traveling, and making floral arrangements. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Galt.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Pierre Osgood, of Pacifica, and Harold Lee Osgood, of Vacaville; brother, Alvin Schrecongost, of Sacramento; sisters, Evelyn Ayson, of Lodi, and Bernadine Curtz, of Stockton; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lodi Funeral Home with Elder Francis Ruddle of Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church of Lodi officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Visitation will beheld from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions to the donor's charity are preferred.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
