Mary Mildred Archer, 82, of Lodi died Sept. 8. She was born Mary Gaukel on Nov. 17, 1930 in Maryville, Mo.

She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Carpenter of Galt and Patty Klein of McGregor, Texas; sister, Evelyn Nickel of Lodi; brothers, John Gaukel of Morada and Clarence Gaukel of Lodi; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Archer; sister, Clara Gaukel; and brother, Paul Gaukel.

At her request, family services will be private at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. If you would like to send flowers, please send a flowering plant, as the family is preparing a garden in memory of her as she was an avid gardener.

Donahue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
