Ruth Roberta Moss, 98, of Lodi, died July 18. She was born April 25, 1913 in Fellows.

Mrs. Moss graduated from Alta Bates Nursing School and worked as a registered nurse for Stockton State Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was an avid gardener and president of the Manteca Garden Club. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, June R. Welsh; son, Weldon T. Moss; sisters, Helen Kisling and Micki Traube; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon T. Moss; brother, Bob Vandergriff; and sister, Mae Elliott.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and East Harney Lane, Lodi. Interment will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, File 30947, P.O. Box 60000, San Francisco, CA 94160.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
