Thelma Russell, 83, of Galt, died April 30. She was born Jan. 4, 1930 in Eden, Ariz.

Mrs. Russell owned and operated a porcelain doll store, where she taught the art of porcelain dollmaking. She was also a cosmetologist who owned her own salon. She enjoyed gardening and genealogy.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Charrisse Cannada, Tina Metcalf and Shannon Billeci; and grandsons, Kenneth Russell II, Steven Campbell and David Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Russell; son, Kenneth Russell; and daughter, Janet Campbell.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cherokee Memorial Park. There will be no visitation.

Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
