Jonathan Alan Nakanishi, 42, formerly of Lodi, died June 21. He was born Nov. 14, 1969 in Newport News, Va.

Mr. Nakanishi was an attorney serving as Lassen Superior Court facilitiator and judge of Lassen Teen Court. He won the June primary for Lassen Superior Court Judge, served as board chair for Northeastern Rural Health, adviser — Law and Government Explorer Post, was member of the local and regional church board and a participant in MDA Fundraiser.

He is survived by his parents, Alan and Sue Nakanishi; wife, Rochelle; daughters, Kaitlyn, Natalie and Jessica; and sisters, Pamela Tsuchiya and Jennifer Cooper.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. July 14 at English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lodi.

Truckee-Tahoe Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
