Calvin ‘Cal’ Kusler

Calvin "Cal" Fredrick Kusler, 83, of Lodi died April 24. He was born March 6, 1930 in Greenway S.D.

Mr. Kusler was drafted in the U.S. Army, where he served in Korea building landing strips. He started his own business with Rayne Water Conditioning. After selling his business, he worked in maintenance for Lodi Unified School District. After retiring, he went into business selling and installing sprinklers and water softeners. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where he ushered and sang in the choir. He enjoyed his faith and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris; daughters, Cynthia Davis and Peggy Walters, both of Lodi; brothers, the Rev. Howard Kusler of West Bend, Wis. and Ralph Kusler of Aberdeen, S.D.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Royce Kusler; sister, Erna Kusler Wolff; and brother, Milbert Kusler.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church, 801 Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi. Graveside services will be private.

Memorial contributions can be made to Temple Baptist Church; or Lodi Cancer Kids, P.O. Box 1592, Woodbridge, CA 95258.

Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
