Luis (Leci) Medina, 64, of Galt, died Aug. 31 in Lodi of natural causes. He was born Jan. 21, 1941, in Sanford, Colo., where he was raised.
Mr. Medina moved to Galt in 1957. He helped build Rancho Seco as a Millwright, and then worked for SMUD at the plant. He later worked for the City of Galt for 15 years. He enjoyed camping at Dillon's Beach, fishing, cooking, telling jokes and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Medina, of Galt; daughters, Kay Brown, of Woodland, and Stephanie Knickerbocker, of Lodi; brothers, Steve Medina, of Galt, and Danny Medina, of Roatan, Honduras; sisters, Birdie Vierra, of Folsom, and Pat May, of Galt; and four grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 9 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Galt. There will be no visitation.
