James “Jim” Barker, 71, of Lodi died Oct. 27. He was born on Aug. 24, 1942, in Lodi.
Mr. Barker graduated from Lodi High School in 1960. He enjoyed country music, playing the guitar and singing all around California, including Bakersfield, and in Nashville, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife, Mavis; daughter, DeLisa Krugler; sons, Shawn Phipps and Perry Phipps; sisters, Lorine White and Rita Steiner; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and East Harney Lane in Lodi. Inurnment will be private.
Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
