Elsa Albrecht
Elsa Albrecht, 93, formerly of Lodi, died July 6. She was born on Nov. 1, 1918 in Friedland, Oberschlesien-Germany.
Mrs. Albrecht's childhood was spent in Bessarabia, part of the Russian Empire, that later became a Bessarabian Governorate. She enjoyed cooking, pattern design and sewing, crocheting, ceramics and painting by numbers, but most of all bowling and golfing.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Albrecht, of Ariz.; Otto Albrecht, of Calif., and Siegfried Albrecht, of Ill.; daughters, Erika Bekermeier and Angelika Brooks, both of Ore.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; daughter, Elsa; and grandson, Sean.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m today at Lodi Memorial Park and Cemetery.
Donahue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
