William Arthur (Art) Raab, 84, of Lodi, died on Nov. 20. He was born on Aug. 17, 1925, in Oakland.
Mr. Raab was a Lodi High School history, government and economics teacher. He was a member of the United Congregational Christian Church, Greater Lodi Area Democrats, Breakthrough Project and Western Farm Workers Association. He served in the Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Raab, of Lodi; son, Paul Raab, of San Diego; daughters, Mary O'Donnel and Barbara Reinhardt, both of Lodi; brother, Frank Raab, of Livermore; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Jan. 16, at United Congregational Christian Church, 701 S. Hutchins St., with the Rev. Jack Dawson officiating.
His remains have been scattered at sea.
