Lodi-Tokay Rotary Annual Speech Contest

What: Lodi Tokay Rotary held their annual speech contest on this year’s topic: Engage Change. Ms. Nataly Calvo from Tokay High School was the winner. She shared how she has already been involved in helping the less fortunate and how she hopes to continue to make a difference in the world. Ms Calvo will move on to compete with other area Rotary Club winners on Feb. 18.

Other competitors were 2nd place: Gary Cary, 3rd Place: Emily McDonnell, Honorable Mention: Yosune Moran and Dylan Lewis, all from Liberty High.

Why: Rotary Clubs believe in encouraging the education and development of all students in our communities. We believe that young people have a voice and are our future. The speech contest is one way of encouraging that development.
