The attached picture is of my granddaughter, Ayanna Duenas at five months old. She waits to meet her daddy, Lodi native Sgt. Salvador Duenas, for the first time as he returned from Afghanistan last week.

This picture has been all over Facebook with about 100,000 likes and comments. It made the news in Hawaii. Relatives in Texas called to say they saw her on the news there.

Sgt. Duenas will return to Lodi on Saturday for his 2 week post deployment stay. He is overjoyed to have finally met his daughter having left for deployment only four weeks before she was born.

He has done four deployments.
