Linden-Peters 4-H club member wins a 1st and 2nd at state fair dog trials

Rianna Fleck age 13, and her 2-year-old border collie, Ella, represented the Linden-Peters 4-H club at the California State Fair dog trials Saturday, July 12.

The two competed as a team against 10 other pairs from around the state in the Junior Pre-Novice Obedience division and the Junior Showmanship competition. Rianna and her dog won a first place Crystal Award for obedience and second place in showmanship. This was the third competitive event for these two.

Rianna and Ella have  visited many nursing homes in the Stockton community as a Therapy Dog Care and Training project.

The Linden-Peters 4-H Club will have Rianna and three other teams from the Dog Care and Training project competing at the San Joaquin County Fair on Friday, Sept 21st at 3:00 pm.
