Galt’s Jaclyn Pinasco nominated as homecoming candidate at Stanislaus State University

Former Galt High student Jaclyn Pinasco has been nominated as homecoming candidate at Stanislaus State University.

Pinasco, a former graduate of Galt High School class of 2010, in her junior year while playing volleyball as a defensive specialist, also serving on the Student-athletic advisory committee as secretary has been nominated as homecoming candidate representing the athletes of Stanislaus State University.

Homecoming kick off will begin on Monday, February 11th with an introduction to the 2013 homecoming candidates. The candidates will also participate in an entertaining competition on this day. The remainder of the week is full of activities including a powder puff flag football game, opponent bash parade, homecoming rally and a tailgate party with food, spirit gear & music before the games begin.

The winners of the Mr. & Mrs. Warrior will be announced during the homecoming ! games at the Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena on Friday, February 15th.

Women’s homecoming game 5:30-7:30

Men’s homecoming game 7:30-9:30

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
