Project Thank You is announcing locations for their “Fill a Hero Box” program. To support the troops, you can pick up an empty box to fill in Lodi & Clements. Each box when filled will supply goodies to 2 soldiers.

Items you may include are jerky, tuna, seeds, corn nuts, seeds, dried fruit, trail mix, crackers, cookies, mints, chewing gum and small toiletries such as razors, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss and wet ones. They also enjoy puzzle books, playing cards, small soft or Nerf type footballs and magazines as a form of entertainment. Each box includes a full list of items to choose from as well as 2 note cards for you to personalize, one for each Hero.

After you fill the box, simply return it to one of the locations and we will get it to the brave men and women on the front lines.  One letter we received from Loyd Carter, Corporal US Marines stated, “packages like these, from complete strangers, remind us about why we do what we do and raise our spirits. So I would like to personally thank you for having us in your hearts and taking the time to do this for us. It means a lot to my men and me especially.”

Project Thank You is a California based c3 non-profit serving military personnel, veterans and their families. Their mission “To serve the needs of military personnel in combat overseas with care packages and then help them reintegrate back into civilian life with nature based activities and adventures."

Offering fishing trips, nature hikes, geo-caching trips, biking, mindfulness walks, birding adventures, tree climbing, cave tours, wellness retreats, women only workshops, yoga, meditation and more, all free of charge to those who have served and their immediate families.
