Ken Vogel, Chairman of San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, and Richard Pombo past U.S. Representative, were the guest speakers at the San Joaquin / Stanislaus County Cattlewomen’s meeting held in Woodbridge. Mr. Vogel talked about agriculture being a 2.5 billion dollar industry in the county and how the AgVenture program connects children in San Joaquin Co. Schools with agriculture.
Mr. Pombo stated that government is your secret partner in ranching due to all the regulations. He said that the common folks can make a difference in Washington. He stated that he was elected for seven terms and is now ranching and doing consulting in Washington D.C.
