On Friday August 30th the Lodi Lions Club headed up to the smoke filled skies in the foothills to assist in the kitchen cooking and serving meals for the Firefighters and Evacuees.

"THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! CALIFORNIA LIONS' are the words still being spoken by Sonora Lion PDG Tom Penhallegon as he shared the following summary about the Yosemite 'Rim Fire' Kitchen this week.

Total days of operation: 15 Days (August 22, 2013- September 5, 2013)

Total meals served: 6,334

Total contributed hours: 3,257.5

43 Lions Clubs in 7 Districts provided volunteers!

Lions responded from as far away as San Diego, Long Beach, and Chico to assist fellow Lions.
