Toni Christman's local heritage took root back in 1903 when her grandparents; Lodi pioneers "John and Elizabeth Christman Bittner", arrived in Lodi. Her family have been vinyardists near Alpine and Tretheway roads for over four generations.

Toni was born in Buchanan Hospital during World War II and attended Lodi schools.  She went on to work for the U.S. Government for over 30 years before retiring in 1995.  She began working part time in retail, while beginning her research on the history of Lodi and the San Joaquin Valley from 1852 until the present.

Toni will speak at the Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club meeting on Wednesday November 13th at the Woodbridge Golf & Country Club.  She brings with here a wealth of never-published photographs to share with the club.

She will share some of the information she gathered during her years of research, and have copies of her book "Our Time To Shine" which chronicles the treasure trove of information she collected.
