The AgVenture is designed to educate the youth of our county about the variety, quality, availability and health benefits of locally grown commodities in San Joaquin County. This event is held yearly at the San Joaquin Fairgrounds. The Women for Ag and the San Joaquin Farm Bureau provided lunch for all the volunteers.
All the presenters, exhibits, displays, guides and cooks are volunteers. The county is providing the bus transportation for the participating public school districts. The San Joaquin, Stanislaus Cattlewomen also participated in the event with animals and teaching projects. Approximately 3000 third graders attended the Stockton event on Jan 16.
