Linden student wins San Joaquin A-Plus Outstanding Achievement Award

Kenneth Watkins, a Linden Unified High School student, received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the San Joaquin A-Plus program, which promotes literacy in the community.

The event was held at Wine and Roses in Lodi.

Kenneth received many certificates for his achievements from U.S. Congressman Jerry McNerney, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, State Assembly A. Huber, Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani, Senator Tom Berryhill and Assemblyman Bill Berryhill.

This event is to recognize individuals and organizations that have contributed to the awareness and development of literacy in San Joaquin County. The event, 2012 Spirit of Literacy, honored many outstanding students, teachers, administrators, parent of the year and many other dedicated individuals involved in literacy.
