Each year, the San Joaquin County 4-H office gifts many scholarships to students who are demonstrating 4-H values in their college careers. This year, the county gave over $8,000 to former 4-H members who applied and are currently attending college. One of the former Alpine Victor students is a University of the Pacific student. Sarah Donald credits her leadership skills and success in college to her years in Alpine Victor 4-H club.  She was awarded the Albert C. Bizzini Memorial Scholarship.  

The fair this year was during the last week of school in October, and many 4-Hers had trouble attending school and attending to their animals at the fair. They needed to be at the fair early in the morning and late in the evening to feed, clean stalls and show their animals. There were two very special Alpine Victor members who happen to have the fair week off of school, helped out many of the Alpine Victor members and FFA members to care for their animals. Their names are Thomas Collier and Andrew Strootman. These young men showed the true friendship and leadership skills that 4-H has been known for the past 100 years.

Winners are: Lauren Uniack, medal winner intermediate division, for veterinary science; Samantha Yates, medal winner senior division, for leadership; Nathan Shoup, county winner junior division, for swine; Halley Lauchland, county winner intermediate division, for dog care and training; Kaitland MacDonald, county winner intermediate division, for flower arranging; Christopher Shoup, county winner intermediate division, for swine; Nathan Shoup, county winners interview category, for junior dog care; Halley Lauchland, county winner interview category, for intermediate goats; Katelyn MacDonald, county winner interview category, for intermediate woodworking; Christopher Soup, county winner interview category, for intermediate swine; Sean Van Loben Sels, county winner interview category, for intermediate community serivce; Samantha Yates, county winner interview category, for senior horse; Delaney Lund, secretary award county winner; Sean Van Loben Sels, treasurer award county winner; Lauren Uniack, club reporter county winner; Sarah Donald, San Joaquin County 4-H Foundation Albert C. Bizzini Memorial Scholarship; Lori Bryan, leader recognition award for 30 years; Lorita Sutton, countywide leader recognition award for 25 years; and the Alpine Victor 4-H for club gold seal award.
