The Hutchins Street Square pool volunteers are itching to get back into the swim of things.
They are working to fill the Square’s now-empty pool, one fundraiser at a time, by contributing to the repair fund.
Last fall, with the generous help of the Lodi Eagles Lodge, who donated the use of their dining hall; the design skills of Alyssa Graham, who contributed art for the posters and tickets; and Walmart’s sponsorship, the pool ladies held a spaghetti dinner and raised a whopping $3,150.
The volunteers recently presented a check to the grateful Hutchins Street Square Foundation. The Foundation is a nonprofit organization, and donations to the pool repair fund are welcome.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to the community for the cash donations previously made on behalf of the pool repair fund.
The next pool fundraiser is a flapjack breakfast at Applebee’s from 8 to 10 a.m. on April 13. Tickets are just $8 and can be purchased at the Senior Center in Hutchins Street Square. Jump in and join us.
