On Saturday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., the Lodi Branch of American Association of University Women will hold its annual garage sale at 201 Royal Oaks Drive (on the corner of Rivergate Drive) in Lodi.

The garage sale has been a major fundraiser for the group since the late 1990s, when it replaced the annual book sale that had been a tradition in Lodi for many years. Barbara Peck and Leigh Ramsey are co-chairing the event and will be assisted by a large number of AAUW volunteers.

The garage sale will help raise funds for a variety of the projects and programs which the group supports throughout the year in order to achieve the goals of their mission statement: “AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.” Membership information can be found on the website at www.aauwlodi.org.
