Three Boy Scouts recently received Eagle Scout awards and were honored at a Court of Honor on June 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Clay Shields, 18, of Troop 398, completed his project making arrangements for 30 people to plant rose bushes and repaint the sign at Legion Park. He is the son of Eric and Heidi Shields, of Lodi.

Collin Anderson, 18, of Troop 398, recruited 26 people who donated 115 hours to help him paint both retaining walls at the Grape Bowl. They primed them, and applied two coats of paint. He is the son of Neil and Ruth Anderson, of Lodi.

Patrick Kelly, 18, of Troop 298, re-landscaped Van Buskirk Park. Kelly spent 25 hours of his own time over a period of three months. He involved 30 people for 140 hours of work on the project. They tore out old bushes and planted new ones, repaved the sign area and repainted the sign. He is the son of Sean and Suzanne Kelly, of Lodi.

Brian Judd and Eric Holden mentored Kelly his scouting years leading to the Eagle award. Garth Johnson mentored both Shields and Anderson in their scout work for the Eagle award.
