Lodi’s three Rotary clubs banded together to host a concert, “Rotary Rocks,” in June. Proceeds from the event, in coordination with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary International, will provide $24,000 towards Rotary’s 26 year campaign to rid the world of the polio disease.

Rotary’s polio eradication program provides teams of Rotarians from all over the world administering polio immunizations and raising funds to contribute to this ever-important cause.

With the help of this program and the worldwide support from others, Rotary International proudly anticipates that by the end of 2014, the polio disease will be completely eradicated from the entire world.

We are proud to say, “We are this close”!

The donation event took place at the Lodi Rotary Club meeting on Thursday, July 25 at the Lodi Eagles Lodge on Lockeford Street in Lodi.
