Soroptimist International of Lodi installs new officers

Soroptimist International of Lodi installed new officers for 2013-14 on June 25th at Woodbridge Crossing Restaurant. Long-time members Beverly Lacy and Ora Hoover conducted the cat-themed ceremony, with decorations provided by Sue Kiminkinen.

The officers installed for 2013-14 are Lynn Hendricks, president; Deb Miller, vice president; Ora Hoover, treasurer; Barbara Warburton, corresponding secretary; Beverly Lacy, recording secretary; and Phyllis Almendarez and Shirley Lynch, directors.

Long time members of 15 years or more were honored by President Susan Brazil. They included Jean Beckman, Sue Kiminkinen, Ora Hoover, Beverly Lacy, Pat Hill, Gerry Schook, Germaine Burke, Betsy Peterson and Bernice Schmiedt.

President Susan presented a donation of $1,000 to Lodi House Executive Director Suzanne Mangum and $2,000 for Hope Harbor shelter to Karen West and Tory Martin Captain of Lodi Salvation Army.

The new club year begins on Sept. 10th at Woodbridge Crossing in Woodbridge. Meetings are held at noon the 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from September through June.
