Filling three board of directors vacancies, the Lodi Community Band members have elected Barbara Portal to a second three-year term. She will also continue as board president. Carol Marvel was also re-elected and will serve as board secretary. Fred Mckendry was newly elected to fill the third vacancy and is band room manager. Other current board members include Sue Meyer, vice president, and Duane Purdy, treasurer.
At-large board members are Ray Lippert, in charge of general assistance; Bob Gross, business manager; Bob Clemons, band librarian, and Ron Rader, band announcer and publicity manager. Art Holton is band conductor and serves in an ex-officio capacity as consultant to the board.
The Lodi Community Band board of directors meets monthly on the last Wednesday of each month. For information, call Ron Rader at 209-368-0612 or visit www.lodicommunityband.com.
