Robin Burcell, a trained forensic artist and former police officer for 27 years, will speak about her career and the process of writing romance, police procedural and thriller novels on Tuesday in the Community Room of the Lodi Public Library at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The event is sponsored by the Lodi Branch of the American Association of University Women. Burcell was Lodi’s first policewoman and homicide detective. She was an FBI-trained forensic artist in addition to working as a hostage negotiator and with child and sexual abuse cases. She has published seven novels to date.
