The Lodi Salvation Army is preparing to hold its annual dinner at Temple Baptist Church’s social hall on March 11 at 6 p.m. It will include a scrumptious dinner prepared by the Hope Harbor Culinary Class of 2013, men and women who are learning a new trade.

The event will also include the installation of new officers, featured guest speakers and a silent auction. The proceeds of the silent auction will help support a variety of community programs offered through the Lodi Corps. There will be a presentation of the Big Hearts Awards honoring individuals who have went above and beyond in assisting the Salvation Army this past year.

This year’s theme celebrates the motto “A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out,” and highlights the Lodi Corps’ commitment to helping all those in the community — men, women and children — who are in need of assistance.

For information about the annual dinner, contact Janice at 209-368-3824. For more information about the Salvation Army, contact Capts. Martin and Tory Ross at 209-369-5896.
