Genie Gilman has been honored as the 2014-15 Woman of the Year by the American Business Women’s Association — Tuleburg Chapter. She and her husband Larry along with partner Ron Goiorani own Lodi Transmissions, where she heads up the front office. She retired from the University of California (Oakland) in the office of the president, and she serves as secretary for the ABWA Chapter.

Gilman and her husband are avid supporters of local fundraising events and community programs such as “Project Thank You” – a local non-profit organization that supports the troops by sending packages from home, the Lodi Street Faire, the Lodi Chamber of Commerce, and the ABWA Scholarship program.

The American Business Women’s Association — Tuleburg Chapter has bestowed the honor of Woman of the Year to women in the community since 1965. The group meets monthly and holds various fundraisers throughout the year to award scholarships to students bound for college.
