In October 2012, Rachel Ravera and Kaitlin Ramos, along with other members of Liberty Oaks Pony Club, trailered their mounts to Lone Tree Farm in Waterford to school over the cross country jumps with their instructor Liz Jenner. After camping overnight, they participated in the Hunter Pace competition. All participants had successful rides with well behaved mounts.

Continuing with regular mounted meetings through November and December, the club finished off the year with a potluck New Year’s Eve party at the Ramos home.

Ann Fickert will continue as DC for 2013. The club meets at Gateway Farm for mounted and unmounted instruction the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Those interested in joining should call Ann Fickert at 209-365-3150, Liz Jenner at 209-759-9700 or Sheryl Ravera at 916-771-9401.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
