American Legion installs officers

Posted

Recently, we held our annual installation of officers and recognition of leadership ceremony. The event was held in our hall and the outstanding roast beef dinner with all the trimmings that was prepared by Adjutant Martin Jones and new Third Vice Commander Kevin Ehman was free to all members attending.

If you were here, I am sure you enjoyed, with pride, seeing first hand how our Post is continuing to serve the needs of local veterans and our community. To top off the evening, Adjutant Martin Jones was recognized by Lodi Mayor Alan Nakanishi and Congressman Jerry McNerney as Legionnaire of the Year for his unselfish volunteer service to Lodi American Legion Post 22. He was surprised and humbled to receive the honor he so well deserved.

The outgoing leadership that we are saying thank you to for your unselfish service to Post 22 last year are as follows:

Officers for 2012-13 were: Bob Gross, commander; Daniel Meunier, First Vice Commander; Glenn Biddy, Second Vice Commander; Patrick Meunier, Third Vice Commander; Martin Jones, Adjutant; Dale Barney, Finance Officer; Julian Lopez, Sergeant-At-Arms; Chad Donley, Chaplain; Calvin Kusler, Chaplain Assistant; Robert Hinz, Judge Advocate; Dan Straight, Historian; and Ryan Dinkel. Executive Committee Members were: Glenn Biddy, Ed Dammel, Pat Fitzpatrick, Bill Selling and Mike Simas.

We welcome next year’s leadership whom we installed at the dinner and are as follows:

Bob Gross, Commander; Patrick Meunier, First Vice Commander; Glenn Biddy, Second Vice Commander; Kevin Ehman, Third Vice Commander; Martin Jones, Adjutant; Patrick Fitzpatrick, Finance Officer; Julian Lopez, Sergeant-At-Arms; Chad Donley, Chaplain; Robert Hinz, Judge Advocate; Dan Straight, Historian; and Ryan Dinkel, Service Officer. Executive Committee Members are: Ed Dammel, Bill Selling, Mike Simas, Dan Straight and Scott Fienne.

The 2013-14 leadership of Lodi American Legion Post 22 is definitely in good hands for the incoming year, with people who are dedicated to helping Veterans and and committed to serving the community of Lodi.

If you are not actively involved, come and join us. We welcome new members.
