"Rotarians are tremendously diverse, highly educated, and competent community leaders who have already made a mark in their chosen professions. They are also people who recognize that being of value is not just a function of social status or financial worth. The Rotary Club gives its members many avenues for accomplishing good in the world. My goal is to unleash the generosity and greatness of Rotary's fine men and women, encouraging them to be proactive, to take individual initiatives, to personally seek out ways of utilizing their unique talents to improve the lives of others on a local and international scale. What makes Rotary extraordinary is its power to enrich lives through service - including the lives of Rotarians. I want our club members to grow rich in character, to develop their talents, and to experience the priceless knowledge that their own lives are making a difference.

We are working to assure that our community is healthy and strong. The club sustains a number of Lodi's community services, particularly those institutions that focus on the youth. We also engage in ambitious humanitarian efforts around the world. The Rotary International project is to eradicate polio, and we're almost there. Our International Theme this year is "The Future is in Your Hands." The future looks good to me."
