The Woodbridge Firefighters Association, a voluntary organization made up of current and retired employees, held a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Oct. 6.
This nonprofit group promotes goodwill to the community by supporting, aiding and assisting with public education and fire prevention activities. At the breakfast they provided informational packets and goodies to children and information on their public education programs to adults.
These programs include: CPR, Change Your Clock Change Your Battery Program, smoke detectors for the elderly, EDITH, Explorer Program, Fill the Boot for the Burn Institute, school drills and school visits and help to needy families during the holidays. Eileen Dugan, representing the Lodi Elks No. 1900, also passed out drug awareness materials along with goodies to the children and notes of thanks for service to all veterans who attended.
