As a part of its 150th year celebration, Woodbridge Lodge No. 131 F.&A.M., made cash awards to Estrellita High School and Lake Canyon Elementary School. The two schools invited the Grand Lodge of California to dedicate the new facilities in cornerstone ceremonies presided by Richard W. Hopper, Grand Master of California Masons, and co-hosted by Woodbridge No. 131 and Lodi No. 256 earlier this year.

Tony Lara, principal of Estrellita High School, informed the Lodge that the award would enable them to supply the students with some of the things needed for graduation, and assist the vocational cooking program in participating at a contest in Fresno.

Suzanne Souligny, principal of Lake Canyon Elementary School, and Dr. Karen Schauer, superintendent of Galt Elementary School District, shared some of their challenges and hopes for the future. They also expressed gratitude for this recognition at a challenging time for public education.

Both schools received resolutions from the Lodge, honoring their mission, staff and students. These resolutions were added to the minutes of Woodbridge Lodge, which span 150 years.

George Lokey, master of Woodbridge Lodge, and the members are celebrating the foundation of Woodbridge Lodge in 1858 at Wood's Ferry, with a number of public and private ceremonies throughout this year.
