Lodi Elks Lodge No. 1900 believes in enhancing the future of our children through the Dictionary Project. In December, Youth Activities Chairwoman Charlene Johnson, along with Eileen Dugan, Elks District public relations, passed out 163 dictionaries to third-graders at two elementary schools, Oak View and Valley Oaks. The children were very happy to have a book that they could keep, which will help them with their studies not only in third grade but in the future as well.

In other news, the Lodi Lodge No. 1900 held a gin fizz brunch on Dec. 2, 2012 and raised $900 towards its major project, which helps children with disabilities. This was a successful event thanks to John Rochon, Major Project chairman, and many other Elk member volunteers.
