Two young women from our community returned to California this summer to take examinations leading to their “A” Certification by the United States Pony Clubs, Inc. Longtime members of Liberty Oaks Pony Club Alexandra du Celliee Muller, a 2006 graduate of Lodi High School; and Kayla Ramsdell Riesberg, a 2005 graduate of Linden High School, were successful at the highest level of proficiency recognized by the USPC.

Du Celliee Muller and Riesberg are among a total of 10 candidates in the United States who achieved the “A” Certification in 2012.

The USPC is a national nonprofit organization that develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youths (up to age 25) through their equestrian program.

The successful candidate for the “A” Certification is able to ride and evaluate horses at various levels of schooling with tact and effectiveness. The “A” has a thorough and in-depth knowledge of horse husbandry, riding and teaching.  He/she is distinguished as an accomplished, professional-level horseman and many go on to represent our country as equestrian competitors.

National certifications are offered in the traditional (eventing), dressage or show jumping disciplines. Du Celliee Muller earned the “A Dressage” Certification at Santa Ynez in July. Ramsdell earned the “A Traditional” Certification at Woodside in August.

The members of Liberty Oaks Pony Club are extremely proud of these accomplishments and wish to extend hearty congratulations to the girls.
