The Real Men’s Club had its monthly luncheon on April 3rd at Huisman Auctions. Huisman Auctions is located off Twin Cities Road, west of Highway 99. The weather was perfect for a lazy afternoon barbeque. That’s exactly what the Men’s Club provided at their monthly luncheon. The event started at 11:30 a.m. and went till 2:30 p.m.

We had more than 140 men attend the event. Lunch was served promptly at noon and included New York strip steak, Chicken in Barrel, Randy’s green beans, salad, rolls, and Velvet Creamery ice cream. Of course, refreshments were available all day long and all for a $25 donation to the club. Many of the attendees went home even happier after winning one or more of the many great raffle prizes available. The Real Men’s Club would like to thank Dave Huisman for allowing them to use his facility and his continued support of the club.

In the past few months, the The Real Men’s Club has been able to donate over $20,000 to local charities. Here is a short list of the many charities and individuals they have helped so far this year: Victory for Valerie, Boy Scout Troop No. 238, Herald Porch Boys, Guillermo ‘Willi’ Garcia (donated a laptop), L’Chayim, McFarland Ranch and PAL – Police Athletic League of Galt.

The Real Men's Club was founded in 2011 with the purpose of hosting monthly lunches and special events to raise money for worthy local needs.  No membership is required but you must be 21 to attend our luncheons. All profits derived from these lunches and events are given directly to the monthly recipients, as determined by the board of directors.

To get more information on our upcoming events, visit our website at www.realmensclub.org or reach out to us on Facebook. Any of our board members would be happy to answer any questions you might have about our organization. You can always contact our President Larry Carter if you have any questions. Our last luncheon was on May 1st at Western Valley Ranch, 12988 Christensen Road. This was our customer appreciation luncheon. For a $20 donation, attendees received a Mexican Lunch, hosted bar and 20 raffle tickets.
