The annual American Association of University Women garage sale will take place on May 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 201 Royal Oaks Court, on the corner of Royal Oaks and Rivergate Drive. We will be selling baby items, children’s books, toys, games, books, camping equipment, appliances, kitchen gadgets, vintage jewelry, good furniture, linens, glassware, fine china, and holiday décor.

Pat Stump, Joanne Cobb, and Lorraine Ramsey-Bowers will co-chair the event, assisted by many AAUW members.

Profits will help to finance our Tech Trek camperships. AAUW sends 8th grade girls to a one week math and science camp at California State University, Fresno, where girls enjoy exposure to math and science careers, hands-on activities, and lunch with practicing scientists and mathematicians. They also go on a field trip to the space capsule.

Profits will also help provide four $1,000 scholarships to Lodi Unified School District graduating seniors who will attend a four-year college.
