Liberty Oaks Pony Club D3 candidates Sophie Weisman, Miranda Olagary, Priya Patel, Ashley Buck, Kaitlin Ramos and Trevor Ravera all received completion certificates much to their relief and delight after being tested on their horse management and riding skills.

After presenting themselves and their horses to examiner Merisa Moy to be checked on appropriateness of their attire and cleanliness of their horses and tack, they had to demonstrate their riding skills in the arena and cross country field on jumps 2 feet 3 inches to 2 feet 6 inches in height including an emergency dismount.

The day concluded with an oral quiz on horse management and lots of cheers when they were awarded their certificates. Liberty Oaks Pony Club is one of 15 clubs in the Sierra Pacific Region in California of U.S. Pony Clubs, a national organization. Riders interested in joining should call Ann Fickert at 209-401-9191 or email her at amfickert@comcast.net. Liberty Oaks Pony Club meets the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at Liz Jenner's Gateway Farm, 18025 E. Collier Road, Acampo.
