Past president and long-time member Pat Drouin has been selected as the 2011 AAUW funds fellowship named gift honoree by Lodi American Association of University Women for her many contributions to the group’s programs and goals. This is the second time she has been selected for this award, having previously received it in 1988.

Drouin has been program vice president twice and also has served two consecutive terms as president (2004-2005 and 2005-2006). She worked on several of the candidate forums organized by Lodi AAUW and chaired the one in 2008. She has also headed the fundraising oversight committee and has done extensive community outreach for scholarship funding.

Perhaps her most significant contributions have been related to her involvement with the Tech Trek program, which sends middle school girls to science camp each summer. She has participated in every step of the process at one time or another.

Last year, she and co-chair Julie Wolf organized two very successful fundraising luncheons with food and facilities donated by Jim Murdaca of Pietro’s. This past year she also co-chaired the Day Trippers committee which arranged monthly outings for members to a variety of destinations and activities. Drouin has only been retired from her position as a counselor at Tokay High School since 2010. After more than two decades of continued service, Lodi AAUW is pleased to again award this honor to Pat Drouin.
