On Dec. 13, 2012, Lloyd Roper, Master of Lodi Masonic Lodge No. 256 F.&A.M., presented the 2012 Henry and Karen Hansen Memorial Fund Civic Youth Group Award check in the sum of $1,000 to Jerry Glenn, president of the Lodi Adopt-A-Child organization.

Lodi Adopt-A-Child, the creation of retired police officer Dennis Lewis, provides many services to the youths of Lodi, including food boxes, back-to-school clothing, school supplies, beds and bedding, bicycles and gifts at Christmas, to name just a few.

This nonprofit, all-volunteer organization operates on funds received from its golf tournament, crab feed and community donations. Their priority is to fill the needs of children who survive in a limited financial situation, and they are in existence for the sole purpose of giving the children of Lodi a helping hand.
