Guests, particularly “significant others,” will be welcome at Lodi Garden Club’s annual Valentine’s potluck luncheon, to be held at noon on Feb. 7 at the Julia Harrison Micke Memorial Building.

Rose McKinney from Modesto will present a slide program, “Stop and Smell the Roses,” assisted by John Gray, a musician and poet. McKinney is a Weeks Rose representative whose program has been quite popular among area garden clubs.

Gordon Schmierer, president of Tree Lodi, will speak briefly about trees, and the conservation table will be open to purchasers at 11:15 a.m.

Since the March 7 meeting will be the club’s annual Game Day fundraiser, members are asked to bring items for prize baskets to the February meeting. Tickets for Game Day will be on sale for $15. There is limited seating, so let your family, friends and neighbors know well ahead of time if they wish to come.
