Lodi Republican Women to install new officers

On Wednesday, the Lodi Republican Women will hold its biannual Installation of Officers at the Woodbridge Golf and Country Club. Installing officer and guest speaker will be California Federation of Republican Women President Roseann Slonsky-Breault. The following officers will be installed: Arlene Farley, president; Mila Hale, vice president; Eileen Lamdin, secretary; and Tyah Petersen, treasurer. Lodi Elks donates pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House

Lodi Elks Lodge No. 1900, with help from Dan Miller and the Lodi Women’s Club, donated several containers filled with aluminum pull tabs which weighed more than 120 pounds.

Elks seeking applications for educational scholarships

For the academic year 2015-16, the California-Hawaii Elks Major Project, Inc. (CHEA) Board of Trustees will offer $48,000 in undergraduate educational scholarships for students with disabilities throughout the state of California and Hawaii.

Soroptimists hold Western themed dinner

Soroptimist International of Lodi recently held a Western themed dinner and dance at the Moose Lodge. Courteney Karger chaired the event. There were more than 100 members and friends who enjoyed the evening. The event included many raffle prizes and fantastic music. Proceeds from the event will help the Lodi Soroptimist Club give awards and opportunities to women and girls in the community! Members of the Tokay High School girls wrestling team served the meal prepared by Dickey's.

Sager belongs to the Omicron Omicron chapter of Delta Theta Tau and is greatly committed and actively making plans for membership growth throughout our organization.

Lodi Elks Lodge holds turkey dinner to honor Veterans

Lodi Elks Lodge No. 1900, in continuing to keep its commitment to the community, held its annual Veteran’s Day dinner. They had more than 50 veterans who enjoyed a nice turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Nancy Sanquinetti, chairperson of this event and an Air Force veteran, organized and helped all the volunteers put on this event to honor our veterans.

Lodi Rotary Club launches new Rotary Satellite Club

The new Rotary Satellite Club of Lodi was recently launched and sponsored by the Lodi Rotary Club. Two past district governors and two future district governors were on hand to personally induct five new members into this club. Although these new Rotarians are full members of the Lodi Rotary Club, they have their own acting board of directors and will offer another meeting opportunity for all Rotarians who would like to attend a local meeting on Thursday evenings.

Lodi Lodge No. 256, Free and Accepted Masons present Hiram Award

On Nov. 1, Park Johnson was presented the Hiram Award in recognition of his service to Lodi Lodge No. 256, Free and Accepted Masons. Johnson joined the lodge in 2008 and has been active in the lodge affairs by serving on numerous committees and participating in projects and activities.

Masons present Golden Veteran Award to brothers

On Nov. 6, brothers Joseph and Norman Maley were each presented with a Golden Veteran Award to commemorate their 50 years as a member of the Masonic fraternity. The brothers became Master Masons on the same day in November 1964. A dinner was hosted by Lodi Lodge F. & A.M. in their honor prior to the presentation ceremony. The dinner was attended by over 50 family, friends, and lodge members.
