Lodi girl to compete in state finals of National American Miss Pageant

National American Miss is a program designed for today's girl and the largest youth pageant organization in America. "A program based on lifetimes of experience and the foundational principles of positive self-image and natural beauty within." National American Miss is growing confidence and helping empower America's next generation of leaders.
Ayana Wettstein, 5 years old, is the daughter of Christopher and Susan Wettstein of Lodi and a first grade student at Larson Elementary School. She was one of the State finalists at the 2012 National American Miss California North, Princess Division, held in Santa Clara California on July 27. Ayana has demonstrated the ability perform on stage, speak to a crowd, and conduct a solid interview. She was proud and honored to represent her city, Lodi.
She won several titles, trophies and awards, as follows:
- National American Miss 1st runner-up over-all
- Portfolio Award
- State Ambassador Award
- Photogenic Competition 3rd runner -up
- Casual wear modeling 4th runner up
- Miss Spirit 1st runner -up
- Most Promising Model
- State Finalist
- Spirit of America
Ayana felt so blessed and happy she said, "I am so proud of myself."She has gained self-confidence and felt good about herself. It has been a great weekend and experience for her. She is advanced to the California state finals to be held in Hollywood in November.When asked about the upcoming event, she says, "I'm so excited to go to Hollywood and be able to represent Lodi, the Zinfandel capital of the world."
