2012 Lodi City Council Candidate Forum Part 1

On Oct. 4, the Lodi News-Sentinel hosted a forum for the 2012 Lodi City Council candidates. For your convenience, we have listed the questions and times they appear in this video, allowing you to skip to the issues important to you. :07 - Candidate introductions 12:03 - How can we continue to keep up our city services and quality of life in Lodi when tax dollars are so restricted? 19:04 - Is there a way for Lodi to attract more jobs and to be more business friendly? 25:40 - How do you stay in touch with all citizens and develop the common good? 32:40 - How do you propose to keep Lodi safe? 41:07 - What does the council intend to do to reduce our utilities or at least get them in line with cities of similar size? 47:59 - Is there a "Good old boy" network in Lodi? 56:20 - Is there a problem of disharmony on the council and if there is what are you personally able to do to reestablish a spirit of cooperation? 1:03:49 - Why does Lodi need a water treatment plant and what is the discrepancy between the $45 million bond and the actual cost of the project?

  • 8 Share what you know, and ask about what you don't.
  • 9 Don’t be a troll.
  • 10 Don’t reveal personal information about other commenters. You may reveal your own personal information, but we advise you not to do so.
  • 11 We reserve the right, at our discretion, to monitor, delete or choose not to post any comment. This may include removing or monitoring posts that we believe violate the spirit or letter of these rules, or that we otherwise determine at our discretion needs to be monitored, not posted, or deleted.
