What's your view of Lodi's first methadone clinic opening near Lodi Middle School?

Hello. Clearly the context of this 'poll' seems to insinuate that people who obtain medical treatment at this clinic are somehow 'undesirables'.
Such as former illegal substance abusers etc. This couldn't be further from the truth.
Didn't you know, that in many cases, people who were treated for serious life threatening conditions and spent long periods as hospital inpatients (cancer. burn victims etc) must slowly be detox'ed due to the long term (months of) pain medicines they received? Quite commonly, long term hospital inpatients receive morphine and similar pain meds.
But after their acute condition is stabilized (cancer remission or burn recovery), they may be discharged to return home, but still need the medical support to eliminate their dependence upon the pain meds used in the hospital!
I'm afraid that this 'poll' indicates a strident ignorance of those who composed this 'question'.

I think the answer for most folks would be...'How close' . We have a half way house at the end of our block here in Sacto and have never had trouble from any of them.
