Since 8 a.m. Friday, the Lodi Police Department received 454 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:


Covering their tracks: 10:22 a.m. — People were removing property from one Honda, putting it into another and then wiping the door handles in the 1400 block of W. Century Boulevard.

Naked in the gardening aisle: 12:18 p.m. — A man was wearing a black shirt and no pants in the garden center of a business in the 500 block of S. Cherokee Lane.

Taco party: 3:26 p.m. — The music was too loud at a taco truck in the 700 block of S. Sacramento Street.

Beach trespassing: 5:07 p.m. — A caller said several people were trespassing on a private beach in the 1200 block of Edgewood Drive.

Drunk man: 6:15 p.m. — A drunk man was passed out on the sidewalk in front of a business in the 100 block of N. Sacramento Street.

Mail theft: 9:14 p.m. — Mail from multiple homes was scattered in the street in the 1100 block of W. Century Boulevard.

Girlfriend stealing: 9:46 p.m. — A caller said some subjects came to his residence and started a fight with him and his family and then took off with his girlfriend and his belongings.

Not a fair fight: 11:29 p.m. — Three aggressive dogs were attacking a Chihuahua in front of the residence in the 1100 block of Ash Drive.


Guns a-waving: 12:27 a.m. — A male was walking with a shot gun outside a building in the 2400 block of W. Kettleman Lane. The male was waving the gun, but did not seem threatening.

Fight: 2:17 a.m. — Three males were in a fight and one was armed with a knife in the 1100 block of W. Lockeford Street.

Clothes in trees: 9:33 a.m. — There was a large garage sale with loud music, cars blocking driveways and clothes in city trees in the 400 block of E. Elm Street.

Not the classic song: 6:02 p.m. — Loud music was coming from a "little red Corvette" in the 500 block of E. Oak Street. It also had a loud exhaust.

Breaking in for quarters: 9:21 p.m. — A male was attempting to break-into the newspaper machines to take coins in the 500 block of W. Lodi Avenue.

Say no to fighting: 10:22 p.m. — A group of about 10 to 12 juveniles were arguing, and a caller thought it would turn into a fight in the 400 block of S. Pleasant Avenue.


Drunk male: 3:18 a.m. — A drunk male was refusing treatment at the hospital and staff wanted him removed in the 900 block of S. Fairmont Avenue.

No helmets and texting: 2:20 p.m. — Two bicyclists were riding down the middle of the street the wrong way and were not wearing any helmets and texting in the 2200 block of W. Turner Road.

Loud boats: 4:56 p.m. — Loud boats were making loud noises in the Lodi Lake area near a caller's address in the 1200 block of Edgewood Drive.

Wallet theft: 6:04 p.m. — Someone stole a wallet that included an ATM card from a car in the 0 block of W. Elm Street.

Gun shots: 10:32 p.m. — There were multiple calls for gunshots heard in the 1800 block of Lake Street.


Take that, alley: 3:16 a.m. — A woman was throwing items into the alley in the 300 block of E. Lodi Avenue.
