In the 24 hours after 9 a.m. Tuesday, the Lodi Police Department handled 165 calls for service. The following is a sample of police and fire calls received by dispatchers:

Tuesday

Driving in circles: 12:58 p.m. — The male driver of a black Mercedes was doing doughnuts in the Big Kmart parking lot, 520 S. Cherokee Lane.

Alarm suspicions: 2:22 p.m. — A man was working on an elderly Ridge Drive woman's house alarm, but then started asking for personal information and her Social Security Number. The matter was sorted out once it was discovered that the family was changing alarm companies.

Residential burglary: 4:24 p.m. — Someone burglarized a home in the 300 block of Watson Street.

Unattended children: 6:30 p.m. — Two small children were left inside a blue Dodge Caravan in the 300 block of South Lower Sacramento Road. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.

Shed dispute: 6:47 p.m. — The former owner of a home in the 300 block of Pioneer Drive wanted to remove a shed, and the matter caused an argument. They were given advice about the civil court process.

Underage drinkers: 7:33 p.m. — Ten juveniles were drinking and one girl was throwing up near Hutchins Street Square, 125 S. Hutchins St. A 20-year-old man was arrested for obstructing police and public intoxication, and a 15-year-old girl was arrested for public intoxication.

Basement burglars?: 7:40 p.m. — Two men, one of whom carried a stick, were trying to get into someone's basement in the 300 block of East Lodi Avenue. Then they walked west.

Male vs. female: 8 p.m. — A man got out of a car and pushed a female in the 1000 block of West Oak Street.

Fight: 8:46 p.m. — About seven people were fighting in the 18900 block of North Chestnut Street in Woodbridge.

Battery: 8:47 p.m. — Someone was battered in the 400 block of Eden Street.

Vehicle collision: 9:13 p.m. — Injuries were reported after a collision at Pine Street and Cherokee Lane.

Elder financial troubles: 9:14 p.m. — A female was suspected of taking money out of her elderly Sylvan Way mother's bank account.

Fight: 11:14 p.m. — Two females were fighting in the 500 block of West Lodi Avenue.

Wednesday

Noise, and more: 3:32 a.m. — People were yelling and vomiting in an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Eilers Lane.

Tow yard burglaries: 7:33 a.m. — Multiple vehicles were burglarized in the Sam Berri Towing yard, 940 E. Victor Road.
