Since 8 a.m. Tuesday, the Lodi Police Department received 163 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:
Time to start the day: 12:15 p.m. — A transient wearing a red shirt and black pants was sleeping on the 0 block of South Sacramento Street.
Need assistance: 1:17 p.m. — A social worker wanted help regarding a victim who was assaulted Sept. 1. The victim needs serious medical attention and no one has claimed him or has been willing to make decisions on his behalf, the caller said.
That’s no good: 3:09 p.m. — A caller’s debit cards had been mailed to the wrong address and were being used fraudulently. The call came from the 100 block of West Pine Street.
Headed to Taco Bell?: 4:53 p.m. — A chihuahua was running loose on the 300 block of South Cherokee Lane.
Nobody wants to hear your awful music: 6:34 p.m. — A Hispanic female in a white Honda had been blasting her radio for the last three hours on the 500 block of East Lodi Avenue.
Shot fired: 8:04 p.m. — A caller believed they heard a gunshot on the 400 block of West Pine Street.
Drug drop: 9:46 p.m. — A bag of marijuana was found in front of a business on the 500 block of South Cherokee Lane. It was left there by a white male in an Oakland Raider shirt who was riding a black bike in the parking lot.
